(The Lion) — A controversial Fort Bragg transgender teacher, who reportedly also identifies as a wolf, has been terminated from his position following complaints from families of “sexual fetish behavior.”
The firing comes after months of reports to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) from school families about the employee’s conduct in the classroom of young children.
According to a demand letter from Liberty Counsel on behalf of Fort Bragg parents, multiple families had raised concerns that the male substitute teacher had been engaging students in behavior they found disturbing.
“This adult male has inflicted this inappropriate behavior on children during classroom hours through his vulgar speech and provocative attire, and several parents have reported this behavior to the school,” said the attorneys for the families.
The teacher reportedly adopted animal personas, instructed children to howl like wolves and used a variety of online “persona” names such as “Roxxanne Wildheart,” “Lilith Deathhowl” and “Captain Roxxie,” urging children to call him by those names in class.
Parents also alleged the teacher regularly dressed in provocative women’s attire, wore a dog collar with fetish tags and an animal tail.
He also allegedly taught children about his supposed transformation into a “wolf” at night, noted parents.
One frightened kindergartner reportedly told her mother, “Mommy, I’m scared he’s going to come eat me,” repeating remarks the teacher made about turning into a wolf.
The remarks were reflected in the teacher’s troubling social media postings, according to the complaint letter:
This male’s Instagram post for his “persona” “Lilith Deathhowl” states that this character “can rewrite memories, remote control people, or brainwash them in various ways…[a] useful girl with few friends, she settles with making her own…whether they want to or not. She was a fairly lonely girl as a pup, so she spent most of her time reading and writing stories, creating characters, and designing wondrous beasts that she can now bring to life. As a result of her traumatic upbringing… [she] developed multiple personalities.
For nearly a year, parents at Mildred B. Poole Elementary School repeatedly reported to administrators that their children were “scared,” “upset” and “uncomfortable” with the teacher’s classroom behavior, yet were told little could be done until the demand letter forced a formal response, reported CBN.com.
In its original letter to DoDEA this month, Liberty Counsel demanded immediate suspension of the teacher, removal from contact with children and forensic interviews for any children the teacher may have escorted to the bathroom.
One of the key issues in the case is that pre-K and kindergarten children are routinely escorted to restrooms by teachers. This male teacher told his students he was sexually attracted “to boys,” Liberty Counsel said.
The Liberty Counsel letter asserted school administrators initially told parents there was “nothing we can do about how he dresses, because there is no official dress code.”
The school also suggested it could not act because the teacher was “transgender,” said the attorneys.
When further complaints were made in January, concerned staff enlisted Liberty Counsel.
Then last week, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced on X that the teacher was fired approximately two weeks before.
Liberty Counsel founder and Chairman Mat Staver praised Hegseth’s action.
“We commend Secretary Pete Hegseth for confirming that this male teacher is no longer grooming children at the Fort Bragg U.S. Army post,” Staver said. “Exposing military children to this disturbing behavior is harmful, detracts from military readiness by distracting parents, and violates Title VII, Title IX, and numerous other policies.”
He urged DoDEA to consider forming a task force to address what he described as “dangerous gender ideology” in schools.
Under President Joe Biden, DoDEA was allowed to foster LGBTQ ideology at elementary schools. Also under Biden, transgender federal employees were given status as a protected class, which made it difficult to fire someone who claimed to be transgender.
Both policies were ended under President Donald Trump.
For parents, the episode has been more than an abstract debate about gender dysphoria.
It became a matter of watching young children return home in tears and anxiety, telling parents about how they were instructed to participate in baffling, inappropriate activities.
Their complaints and the subsequent firing mark a victory for those who argue schools must be held accountable when ideology or personal identity choices interfere with basic childhood education and safety.
