‘I just don’t wanna die;’ Missouri teen’s alleged killer revealed as illegal alien who came under Obama

A suspect in the murder case of 15-year-old Miles Young from Springfield, Missouri is being held on an ICE detainer as an illegal alien.

“I just don’t wanna die.”

These were some of Young’s final words just before he died from a gunshot wound allegedly fired by Yefry Archaga, an illegal alien.

Young fell victim to a fatal ambush on March 12 where he believed he was going on a date but was actually walking — or rather riding — into a coordinated attack.

Archaga and Praize King, both 18 years old, along with at least one minor suspect, plotted Young’s murder, Fox News reports. Some witnesses believe Young might’ve been targeted in relation to the 2025 murder of 14-year-old Jackie Strahle.

An adolescent girl picked Young up under the guise of wanting to have sex with him, and drove him into the ambush. She believed Young was to blame for Strahle’s death, a probable cause statement reveals, although it’s unclear what the girl’s connection is to Strahle’s murder.

Young was warned the date could be a setup, and he remained on a phone call with someone for the duration of the attack. An in-person witness, W1, along with the phone witness watched Young thoroughly search the vehicle before getting in with the girl.

Four suspects in a second group waited for Young and blocked the road with a different vehicle. Young realized he was in trouble, and when the car he was riding in stopped, he bolted.

Archaga, wearing a black ski mask and brandishing a pistol, sprinted after Young.

He then allegedly shot Young once in the chest.

“I just don’t wanna die,” the witness heard Young cry out through the phone.

W1, the in-person witness, found Young after tracking the phone he was using, and called 911. Young was pronounced dead at Cox South Hospital.

King was arrested on March 18, and Archaga was apprehended just last week after a two-week search. Law enforcement also had a previous warrant for Archaga’s arrest from February for first-degree assault.

Both suspects are facing first-degree murder charges.

Archaga flaunted his crime after he reportedly made a “braggadocios” phone call after shooting Young. The suspect also has an ICE detainer and investigators found him to be part of the “1300” gang, according to court documents.

Young made the “heartfelt decision” to give his life to Jesus just a few weeks before his death, a GoFundMe page for Young’s family says.

“It felt as though God was beginning to prepare him for his journey home,” the post reads.

“Miles was a compassionate, loving, and kind 15-year-old who brought light to everyone around him. He was a big brother, a son, a grandson, and a friend. He had a beautiful heart, was full of life, and always showed care for others.”

Young’s mother is calling for justice on her social media. Young’s case, especially the revelation of Archaga being an illegal alien, has sparked national outrage.

“My heart is breaking, AGAIN,” one commenter writes on a post by Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt. “This is the 3rd post I’ve seen TODAY, reporting an American being killed by an illegal alien.”

“So many heartbreaking stories, we will soon forget, but their loved ones and friends will never forget,” says another.

“We all know a Miles,” a third writes. “I bet he was a cool kid. I bet his parents loved him. I bet his friends are devastated. I don’t bet, I KNOW these two ‘teens’ have no remorse for what they did.”

“Gut wrenching to read,” opines yet another. “Prayers for the child, his parents and friends.”
