TikTok censors video honoring Charlie Kirk

(The Lion) — The College Fix says multiple videos it posted honoring Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk have been censored by TikTok.

In the latest incident, a six-minute video titled “10 Moments that Defined the Charlie Kirk Tragedy” was posted Oct. 14, which would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday. It reflected on tributes, campus reactions and the growth of Turning Point USA since his death. TikTok blocked the video, citing a community guidelines violation, and offered no way to appeal.

The same video appeared on Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube without issue, according to the College Fix.

It marks the third time in a month TikTok removed a Kirk video posted by the College Fix, it said.

Previously, the outlet tried posting one called “Remembering Charlie Kirk,” a five-minute tribute showing moments from Kirk’s career, including clips of his debating students on hot-button issues. The social media site delayed the upload for review, then deleted it entirely for allegedly violating its guidelines. TikTok never explained the violation.

When the College Fix re-uploaded the tribute, it was heavily censored and reached only 25 views, a small fraction of what its videos usually receive. The outlet said TikTok also limited visibility for a separate video displaying screenshots of its own reporting on the tragedy, including stories about campus reactions and media coverage.

Meanwhile, TikTok allowed videos of Kirk’s Sept. 10 assassination to circulate for days before taking them down. Those violent clips stayed online long enough to spread widely.

It’s not the first time the Fix says TikTok has censored its conservative content.

Nearly two years ago, TikTok deleted a viral video posted by the Fix showing two masked leftist protesters flipping a table before a Riley Gaines event at Penn State. The footage showed police detaining the agitators on disorderly conduct charges. TikTok argued the video violated policies against bullying and doxxing, then later said it involved abusive behavior.

Critics say the platform’s repeated censorship reflects a broader pattern of bias against conservative and faith-centered speech. They argue Big Tech often punishes Christian and right-leaning creators while rewarding secular and liberal voices.
