BRANSON, Mo. – Visitors of Branson can now experience an all-inclusive entertainment complex dedicated to 1980s pop-culture named ‘Retromania’. The 15,000 square foot complex features a movie theater, retro mini golf, a haunted house, figurine museum, arcade, escape rooms and more. 

Retromania owner Jim Kelly contracted an artist who designs life-sized sculptures out of resin, and now has a museum of 1980s movie characters throughout the building including Darth Vader, The Joker, Doc Brown and The Terminator. 

Guests can also see real props from Hollywood movies, including a motorcycle used in Lethal Weapon 2 and a police cruiser used in Robocop 2. The complex features several arcade games from the ‘80s for visitors to play and Kelly plans to add more in the future.

Retromania’s building was once a live performance theater, which prompted Kelly to completely renovate the space and install a 30-seat movie theatre where he screens a new 1980s movie each week.

Visitors are also able to play a round of mini-golf on a 9-hole course illuminated with black lights and decorated with posters of popular 1980s rock bands. For fans of Child’s Play and Nightmare on Elm Street, Retromania offers a haunted house modeled after the films.

Additionally, the 1980s nostalgia supercenter offers a Back to the Future themed escape room. Future plans for the building include an additional escape room modeled after the film ‘Aliens’, a New Wave Cafe, a karaoke bar and space to host ‘80s cover bands. 

Adult admission is $16.95 and $11.95 for kids for all activities within Retromania. Customers receive a wristband once they pay and are allowed to exit and reenter as they please throughout the day.

Retromania is usually open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., but operation hours change to weekends-only during the winter. Retromania will open back up at full capacity on Spring break in 2022.
