Conservatives are absolutely seething online about the Republican Congress’ failure to enact President Trump’s sweeping agenda – on border security, DOGE spending cuts, prescription drug prices, tax cuts and more.
As The Heartlander reported Wednesday, conservatives are incensed that the House is out of session too much and the Senate is tied up in knots with Democrat machinations, while they’re losing patience with Senate Majority Leader John Thune.
“Im more angry now than when Biden was in ofc,” fumes one furious poster on X. “I knew we had no chance then. Watching our own reps [screw] us is infuriating.”
“Republican[s] in Congress have no idea just how furious we are with them,” responds another poster known as @catturd2.
Josh Hawley does.
In fact, he’s one of them.
“Well, I would note that Congress has only passed – what is it, like five pieces of legislation since January?” the Missouri senator told The Heartlander in an exclusive interview Thursday.
“I share the frustration. I’ve been saying this for months. Congress needs to get with it. We need to pass a big, beautiful tax cut for every working person in this country. That’s what the president ran on: no taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime, no taxes on Social Security. Let’s get that done.
“We should have done that months ago. We should have done that in January.
“So, I am livid with the pace here. I think it’s way too slow. I think we’re doing a lot of stuff that frankly doesn’t matter. We need to be delivering on the president’s agenda.
“I’ll tell you what else we need to do: We need to stop these courts from coming in and blocking the president and acting as if they were elected president. They haven’t been elected to anything. We need to pass my bill banning nationwide injunctions.
“There’s a lot we can do, and we need to get moving on it.”
