(The Lion) — Alan Dershowitz, a “legal legend” and former Harvard University professor, announced Monday that he is registering as a Republican and will “work hard to prevent the Democrats from gaining control of the House … and Senate.”
Dershowitz, a lifelong liberal, published an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal about his transition, saying the Democratic Party’s “hostility” toward Israel and shift toward radicalism are “bad for America and the free world.”
“I urge those who share my concerns about the increasing influence of radicalism in the Democratic Party to vote, campaign and contribute for continued Republican control of Congress,” he wrote.
Fox News commentators said the attorney was “astounded” at rising antisemitism on Ivy League campuses and cited statistics about a majority of Democrats and members of Gen Z siding against Israel.
