Soros linked St. Louis anti-ICE protest targets Enterprise headquarters

About 500 protesters descended on Clayton, Missouri on Friday to target Enterprise Holdings Inc., in an attempt to force the company to scrap its service contracts with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. Similar protests took place in Minneapolis and Kansas City.

The protest organized by Missouri Workers Center, funded by ‘New Venture Fund’ with ties to George Soros, was attempting to pressure businesses to adopt ‘4th Amendment business’ status, refusing to allow federal agents onto their property or into their records without a judicial warrant.

Iana McAllister, a Kaldi’s barista and leader with Missouri Workers Center.

Iana McAllister, a Kaldi’s barista and leader with the Missouri Workers Center, spoke at the rally and argued that deportations should be stopped, claiming union jobs and taxpayer-funded healthcare were the better alternative.

“As a low-wage worker, I reject the lie that deporting my neighbor is how I win better pay and working conditions,” McAllister said. “ICE and unaccountable masked agents have no place here.”

Alicia Hernandez of the Migrant and Immigrant Community Action Project said the protest was a direct message to St. Louis corporations to end all cooperation with ICE.

“We’ve seen the fear ICE creates, we’ve also seen the power that rises when we stand together, when we organize, when we refuse to be divided,” Hernandez  said.

“This is why we are standing in solidarity with those stepping up to strike in Minnesota and protesting to send a direct message to Enterprise Holdings to end all contracts with ICE.”

Enterprise Holdings is one of the St. Louis region’s largest private employers, providing thousands of middle-class jobs across corporate, logistics, and fleet operations.

Protesters demanding the company sever federal contracts offered no explanation for how eliminating major government partnerships would impact local workers. While St. Louis anti-ICE protesters mainly focused on pressuring Enterprise to stop renting out vehicles to ICE agents, the escalating violence and deadly confrontations sparked by agitators in Minnesota have forced the state to deploy the National Guard.

Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt says that the anti-police rhetoric promoted by the left is fueling dangerous unrest across the country.

“The crisis in Minneapolis is a choice,” Schmitt wrote on X. “These immigration operations are taking place in red states across the country—with none of the violence & unrest. But the Left has decided escalating anarchy serves their political interests. Tim Walz must stop the war on law enforcement.”

Conservative Missouri Congressman Mark Alford responded to anti-ICE agitators on X by outlining six simple rules for citizens

Alford said people mustn’t interfere with law enforcement and mustn’t pull a gun while peacefully protesting.

He also warned against trying to run over or assault officers while emphasizing that people should comply with law enforcement and assemble peacefully.

As far as state support is concerned, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe previously told The Heartlander his position on ICE agents wearing masks during their operations.

“It’s unfortunate that these ICE agents are under attack at their homes and their families, and we have to do what we can to protect them,” Kehoe said.

Another Missouri Workers Center “Stop ICE” protest is planned for Tuesday, January 27th at 6pm in downtown St. Louis near City Hall.
