Vance announces new AG position to end nationwide fraud

(The Lion)–The White House is launching a new Assistant Attorney General position for the distinct purpose of ending “nationwide fraud of broader left-wing networks,” Vice President J.D. Vance announced in a special press briefing Thursday.

“We are going to get tougher at the people who are defrauding the United States by inciting violence against our law enforcement officers,” Vance said at a special press briefing Thursday. “This new AAG position is going to kick that into high gear.”

The AAG will have “all the benefits, all the resources and all the authority of a special council,” but will report directly to the President and Vice President under the authority of the U.S. Constitution, Vance said.

“This is the person who is going to make sure we stop defrauding the American people,” he said.

The announcement followed the shooting of a woman in Minneapolis after she used her vehicle to accelerate against an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Officer Wednesday. Vance addressed the issue and reactions, saying the reporting on the incident has been one of the “biggest scandals” in media.

He added that the ICE agent had previously been hit by a vehicle in an assault, which required more than 30 stitches in his leg.

“They are enforcing the law. They should be treated with enormous dignity and respect.”

The woman who lost her life was a “a victim of left-wing ideology,” which encourages her and others to act in violence against law enforcement, Vance said.  Uprooting these left-wing networks that incite violence is the main goal of the new AAG position, Vance said.

“These people shouldn’t feel emboldened because they have, possibly for the first time in history, an administration who will not tolerate political violence of any kind,” he said.

The White House will announce a nomination for the AAG position in the coming days, Vance said.
