Democrat lawmakers’ bizarre video exhorting military members not to obey “illegal” orders from the Trump administration is approaching sedition, warns Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley.
Six Democrats with military or intelligence experience claim in the video, without specificity or citation, that “the threats to our Constitution are coming from right here at home.”
“Our laws are clear: You can refuse illegal orders,” one of the six, Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, a Navy veteran and astronaut, says in the video.
“You must refuse illegal orders,” Pennsylvania Rep. Chris Deluzio says.
It’s clear Democrats have opposed Trump’s use of National Guard troops to protect ICE agents and help battle out-of-control crime in such places as Washington, D.C., as well as his strikes on narco-terrorists headed for U.S. shores. Yet, the six Democrats never make it clear what the video is about.
“That is about a total loss of sanity, that’s what that’s about,” Hawley says in an exclusive interview with The Heartlander on Wednesday. “I mean, I just can’t believe these people – who are now actually urging military officers, intelligence officers, to disobey the chain of command and subvert the United States government.
“I’ve seen that video, and at first I thought it was a deep fake, I’ll be honest with you. It’s so insane I was like, this has got to be made up. But these people are serious – and they’re seriously nuts.
“This is a common thread now of the Democrat Party. These people are going around and lighting police cars on fire and attacking ICE agents, shutting down the government, denying food to needy people, and now saying subvert your own government. What is wrong with them?
“They need to get a grip, and I hope that nobody who works in the United States military, nobody who works in the United States intelligence services, will be stupid enough to take any advice from these people, because the advice that they’re giving you is just inching right up to treason.
“Do not listen to them. Obey your orders. Obey your oath to the United States Constitution. Don’t listen to the Democrats.”
