(The Lion) — Karen Powers called out Illinois’ largest high school district for allowing a 6-foot-4 male on the girls volleyball team at James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, near Chicago.

“Would you want your daughter to compete against a boy who is 6’4”?” asked Powers, whose daughter “thankfully” graduated from high school two years ago.

“Would you want your daughter to undress in front of him in the locker room?” she asked the board. “Would you want him to undress in front of her?

“If he wants to pretend to be a girl that is his choice, however it is not society’s responsibility to pretend he is one.”
