(The Lion) — Inflation was almost flat under President Donald Trump in July, and CNN could barely believe it.

CNN business reporter Vanessa Yurkevich was amazed at the latest report that showed energy prices decreased and food and housing costs were steady or increased only slightly.

“A tamer inflation report, despite President Trump’s tariffs,” she said of the 0.2% July increase. “This is better than expected.”

The report dispels predictions that Trump’s tariffs would cause inflation to spike, proving that his policies are working.
