Missouri library flier to illegals: You don’t have to open door to ICE; lawyer up

A flier reportedly posted in at least one Missouri public library paints ICE agents like vampires who can’t enter a home without being invited, unless they have a search warrant from a judge.

The flier by the American Immigration Lawyers Association, exposed on X by Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins, advises illegal immigrants they don’t have to speak with agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The flier also advises illegals that “You do not have to open the door” to immigration officials unless they have a search warrant.

If a deportation warrant “is the only document they have, they cannot legally come inside unless you verbally agree to let them in,” the flier says of ICE agents.

“If the officers say they have a search warrant signed by a judge, ask them to slide it under the door or hold it up to a window so you can see it.

“If the warrant does not have your correct name and address on it and is not signed by a judge you do not have to open the door or let them inside.

“If at any point you decide to speak with the officers, you do not need to open the door to do so. You can speak to them through the door or step outside and close the door.”

The flier was hand-dated Feb. 5, so it’s presumably been up since then.

The legal advice doesn’t appear to break any laws, nor does it go as far as some have in warning illegals of ICE agents in the area – or, as some have done, to post the identities of ICE agents as if they’re the ones wanted by the law.

“Activists in Los Angeles are posting the names, photos and personal information of ICE agents — and are warning neighborhoods about impending raids,” The New York Post reported.

“CAREFUL WITH THESE FACES,” the Spanish-language fliers in Los Angeles say. “They kidnap people from their homes and the streets, separating families and tearing apart communities. Many people have died while locked up in jails, prisons, and detention centers.”

Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley blasted such tactics on Fox News, noting the danger they pose to law enforcement officers.

“So now, left-wing protesters are targeting ICE agents & preventing them from doing their jobs – and leakers WITHIN the govt are trying to stop ICE raids,” Hawley posted on X.

“1.) The Deep State is real

“2.) Leakers trying to compromise these raids need to be fired – and, if need be, prosecuted.”
