‘1916 Project’ exposes Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s sinister agenda

(The Lion) — For decades, Planned Parenthood has touted itself as pro-woman, claiming to help vulnerable women with a variety of healthcare services.

But a new documentary – The 1916 Project – reveals the truth behind the façade.

The feature-length film, produced by pro-life group The White Rose Resistance, features pastors, historians and other experts who expose the ideas that shaped Sanger and how she then shaped America’s “culture of death.”

In the 1800s, eugenics gained popularity as some supposed Earth would become overpopulated and thus believed the “unfit” should be prevented from reproducing to prevent a scarcity of resources.

Sanger, desiring to create “a race of thoroughbreds,” introduced America’s first birth-control clinic in 1916. The clinic later evolved into Planned Parenthood.

Sanger supported forced sterilization, the targeting of minority communities, and collaboration with Ku Klux Klan leaders. Her writings were inspirational to Adolf Hitler, who used eugenics rhetoric to form Nazi philosophy.

“Ideas have consequences, and bad ideas have victims,” said Seth Gruber, executive producer of the film and president of The White Rose Resistance.

“Sanger not only despised people of color, but she also saw the weak, the poor, and the disabled as useless members of society who should be placed in work camps or sterilized. She spoke at Ku Klux Klan events and invited card-carrying Nazis to contribute to her magazine, Birth Control Review.

“She wasn’t a complicated person with a few flaws; she was, by every true measure, a force of destruction and evil, a villain of the highest order.”

The documentary reveals how not just abortion but also the LGBTQ and transgender movement, pornographic sex education in schools, and the widespread sexualization of children are the fruit born of Sanger’s efforts.

Now, the film is on a grassroots “Life or Death Tour.”

Churches and other groups interested in hosting a screening can fill out this form to receive a copy of The 1916 Project film and accompanying promotional materials.
