Is America’s porous border a national security threat? Take this short quiz to find out!

Terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas, even if not directly tied to the border, have brought the danger of an open border back into the national dialogue.

But is an open U.S. border really dangerous? Here’s a quick quiz to find out:

  1. Are there regimes in the world that hate the United States enough to want to injure or destroy it? If yes, move on to Question 2.
  2. Would such a regime want to take advantage of the open U.S. border by sending enemy combatants and/or terrorists here? If yes, move on to Question 3.
  3. Is there any evidence at all that terrorists have indeed crossed our open border?

The answer to Question 3 is a resounding yes.

Congratulations! You’ve now determined that an open border is a national security threat.

Next step: Someone tell the Biden administration – which quickly made it easier and more enticing for anyone in the world to come here largely unvetted:

  • It provided asylum applications and entries via phone app – meaning you could actually schedule your illegal entry. It flew illegals across the border.
  • It turned our Border Patrol agents into receptionists and order takers rather than law enforcers – there not to prevent illegal entry but to expedite it.
  • And it transported illegals around the country and housed, fed and plied them with pocket money – including such people as the predator who assaulted and killed Georgia jogger Laken Riley.

In short, illegal immigration over a dangerously open border has been a conscious, high-priority policy that the Biden administration has gone to great lengths to preserve and protect, particularly in court. It has physically removed border barriers put in place by Texas.

The Migration Policy Institute wrote in April 2021 that the Biden administration “has taken 94 executive actions on immigration to date … More than half of the Biden actions have undone or sought to undo Trump administration measures. …

“ICE arrests decreased by more than 60 percent, from an average of 6,800 monthly during the last three months of the Trump administration to 2,500 in February, Biden’s first full month in office. …

“The Biden administration terminated its predecessor’s travel bans on nationals from 13 predominantly Muslim and African countries. …

“The Biden administration took significant steps to protect certain national-origin groups from deportation, making an estimated 323,000 Venezuelans and 1,600 nationals of Myanmar eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).”

The predictable result, as illustrated in the elementary school-level quiz above, is a severely heightened, pre-9-11 threat environment that even lackadaisical FBI Director Christopher Wray has been warning about for months on end.

Nor does it help that under Joe Biden the FBI and Department of Justice have diverted invaluable counter-terrorism resources to combatting the scourge of angry parents fed up with sexual and racial ideologies and actual sexual attacks in schools, or to pro-lifers praying in the wrong place or all those white supremacists who never seem to show up when the left needs to fill out its narrative.

Meanwhile, The Hill notes an August report by the House Judiciary Committee saying “the Border Patrol has apprehended 375 undocumented migrants on the Terrorist Watchlist since the beginning of the Biden presidency.

“People on the watch list are known to be or are reasonably suspected of being involved in terrorist activities. The administration has released 99 of them into the U.S.”

And otherwise, the Hill article observes “the Border Patrol has encountered tens of thousands of undocumented migrants from countries that could present national security risks, including 2,134 Afghan nationals, 33,347 Chinese nationals, 541 Iranian nationals, 520 Syrian nationals and 3,104 Uzbek nationals.”

The Hudson Institute reported in May that, “The number of Chinese nationals illegally crossing our southern border is up by 7,000% since 2021, and that’s just for half the year.”

While the New Orleans and Las Vegas terrorists might have been homegrown, the danger of foreign-born illegals mounting attacks on American soil has likely never been greater since 9-11. Officials and experts have been warning for months about sleeper cells having crossed the porous border.

During Biden’s term in office, nearly 400 on the terror watch list have been detected trying to cross the border as of September, compared to just 11 under President Donald Trump, according to the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence.

That’s just the ones we know about.

It doesn’t take intel to know all this; it only takes intelligence.

But you know that, because you aced the above quiz.
