Kansas superintendent arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, obstruction

(The Sentinel) — Lyndon School District Superintendent Brad Marcotte remains free on bond while the investigation continues following his Oct. 18 arrest on suspicion of child endangerment and obstruction.

Marcotte, 53, was taken into custody and booked in the Osage County jail on one misdemeanor count for each charge. He was released on $2,500 bond. Prosecution of the case will be handled by the City of Lyndon, not Osage County, however. City Attorney Patrick Walsh told The Sentinel a bond hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 18, and the city is awaiting a police report to determine what, if any, charges will be filed. A call to Lyndon Police Chief David Forkenbrock regarding the police report was not returned.
