Harris sparks horror, outrage by telling Christians ‘you guys are at the wrong rally’

Vice President Kamala Harris ignited a firestorm of shock and revulsion in recent days by dismissively telling a pair of vocal Christian students, “Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally.”

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse juniors Grant Beth and Luke Polaske had yelled out that “Christ is King” and “Jesus is Lord” at Harris’ rally at the school on Thursday while the Democrat nominee for president was touting abortion. Her response brought howls of derision from her supporters.

“I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street,” Harris added, sparking a second round of ridicule from her supporters – as well as some fairly hostile treatment.

“I was pushed by an elderly woman. We were heckled at, we were cursed at, we were mocked, and that’s the biggest thing for me personally,” Beth told Fox & Friends over the weekend. “In reflection of the event, Jesus was mocked. You know, his disciples were mocked, and that’s OK.

“In reality, we did God’s work, and we were there for the right reasons, and God is watching us in this moment. I’m all about being a cordial person no matter your beliefs, but I do believe that we were sent there by God.”

Other Christians reacted on the internet by noting how unwelcome Harris’ mocking remarks make them feel.

“This insult to Christians comes right after she became the first Presidential candidate to skip the Catholic Al Smith Dinner since Walter Mondale many, many decades ago,” conservative Robby Starbuck posted on Instagram. “Mondale soon after lost EVERY state except for one.

“Clearly Kamala doesn’t respect Christians, our beliefs and most importantly, our Savior. Every Christian needs to remember this when they vote and share this with their friends.”

“2/3 of America is Christian. 1/4 of America is Catholic,” Republican Rep. Byron Donalds posted on X. “Kamala has made it clear that she DOES NOT want YOUR vote.

“She skips key Catholic events. They mock Communion.”

Indeed, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer was recently criticized by Christians for appearing in a bizarre video in which she gave a Dorito chip to a kneeling internet influencer, clearly parodying the sacrament of communion.

Polaske said Harris gave him “an evil smirk” before he and Beth were escorted out of the rally.

“She was actually waving to me. I took this cross off my neck that I wear and, as we were getting asked to leave, I held it up in the air and waved at her and pointed at her, and she looked directly in the eye, kind of gave me an evil smirk.”

“There is something really bizarre with Kamala Harris’ anti-Christian rhetoric and anti-Christian approach to public policy,” Republican vice-presidential nominee J.D. Vance responded at his own rally in Wisconsin over the weekend – noting he’d been baptized in 2019.

When one of his supporters yelled out, as in Harris’ rally, Vance interrupted his remarks to say, “That’s right. Jesus is king.”
