Kansas City Chiefs training camp will be more accessible than ever this year. Here’s what you need to know if you’re going

Are you ready for some football?

The Kansas City Chiefs’ annual training camp is set to begin at Missouri Western State University on Sunday, July 23 and will continue until Aug. 17.

With the exception of designated Season Ticket Member Days on July 24 and Aug. 9, the camp is open and free to the public. Tickets will be available at chiefs.com/tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.

The general public can reserve tickets starting July 22 at 10 a.m, but Chiefs Season Ticket Members can begin reserving tickets at the same time the day prior. Fans are able to attend up to three separate practices and reserve tickets for a maximum of six guests.

Although many practices will include autograph sessions with certain positions on the team, full team autograph sessions open to the public are scheduled to take place on three separate dates: July 23, July 29, and Aug. 5. These practices carry a $5 admission fee for guests.

Other notable dates include:

  • Family Fun Day on Aug. 5, which will feature a variety of family-oriented activities in addition to a team autograph session
  • Alumni Day on July 31
  • Military Appreciation Day on Aug.17, when invited members of the military will be honored

Parking will be available on campus in Lot H for $5 a day. Fans are required to pre-purchase parking, and this can be done during the ticket registration process or at the link here. Parking is also available in Lot H for buses and RVs at a rate of $15 per vehicle. No free parking is available on campus.

Introduced this year, fans will now be able to purchase Chiefs Tailgate Suites, which will offer a private viewing area with access to food, beverages and air-conditioning for groups of 10 or more. These will be available for purchase in the North Endzone.

During practices, videotaping will be strictly prohibited. In addition, guests are discouraged from bringing bags. However, for those who need a bag, the NFL Clear Bag Policy will be in effect. Details can be found here.

In the case of inclement weather, practice will be moved indoors and closed to viewers. Fans will be notified via social media.
