WASHINGTON D.C. – A recent high-level addition to the Biden Administration is raising some eyebrows after it was discovered the new hire partakes in what many consider to be vastly disturbing acts, including defending beastiality in the past.
Sam Brinton, a “drag queen” and left-wing activist, was tapped to serve as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Brinton – who also goes by Sister Ray Dee O’Active, his drag alter ego – is an active member of the Washington, D.C. chapter of a drag queen society called “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.” Brinton appears to have been a top-level member of the drag queen society, as the chapter listed him as their principal contact on its 2016 and 2018 tax forms.
In a 2015 interview about the drag queen society with Metro Weekly, Brinton praised the group’s sexual deviance and proudly proclaimed himself as the “slutty one.”
“The Sisters mission is in complete alignment with my passion for removing the guilt people feel every day (unjustly placed on them, let your freak flag fly!) and the joy the Sisters bring is so, so, so beautiful,” Brinton told Metro Weekly.
Brinton also has “lectured” on kink and roleplay fetishes at college campuses, including a class on the “Physics of Kink” for the Gender and Sexuality Alliance at University of Wisconsin-Stout. A description of the class on Instagram said it included “live demos on the tension forces of bondage, thermodynamics of wax play, physics of impact, and circuits of electro play!”
Brinton also led a “Kink 101” class at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The below photo shows Brinton standing over three kneeling males with leather, bondage dog masks on their heads.
Perhaps the most disturbing stance of Brinton’s is when he seemingly defended beastiality and appeared to be annoyed by those who criticize others for fantasizing about animals.
“One of the hardest things about being a handler is that I’ve honestly had people ask, ‘Wait, you have sex with animals?’” Brinton said in a separate interview with Metro Weekly. “They believe it’s abusive, that it’s taking advantage of someone who may not be acting up to a level of human responsibility. … The other misconception is that I have some really messed up background, like, did I have some horrible childhood trauma that made me like to have sex with animals.”
It is worth noting that beastiality, or the sexual abuse of animals, has been outlawed in nearly every U.S. state aside from Hawaii, New Mexico, West Virginia and Wyoming.
Those who have defended Brinton’s fetishes and past remarks have focused on the premise that an individual’s personal life does not affect his or her ability to do a job.
However, most of the criticism is about Brinton’s mental health. Many are wondering if someone who doesn’t find anything wrong with the sexual abuse of animals has the correct moral and ethical convictions needed to responsibly lead a government agency.
The Biden administration received immense pushback from elected officials and religious organizations immediately after Brinton’s past became public. As more of the new appointee’s past becomes public, more backlash is likely.
