Ashcroft’s Faith and Freedom Rally to feature former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft is hosting his second Faith and Freedom Rally on July 17, and former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is headlining it.

“I am honored to welcome Secretary Pompeo to Missouri to headline this year’s Faith and Freedom event,” Ashcroft said. “As President Trump’s top diplomat, Secretary Pompeo’s influence has been felt around the world. This will be a very special event.”

Secretary Pompeo was sworn in as the 70th Secretary of State on April 26, 2018, previously serving as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Prior to joining the Trump Administration, Pompeo was serving his fourth term as congressman from Kansas’ 4th District.

Pompeo graduated first in his class from the prestigious West Point Military Academy before serving in the U.S. Army, working his way up to the rank of Captain before leaving in 1991. Less than one month after being sworn in as Secretary of State, Pompeo helped arrange the release of three Americans that were detained in North Korea.

Pompeo is also credited for unprecedented peace negotiations with North Korea, the removal of American troops from Syria, and brokering a peace treaty agreed upon between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.

The 2021 Faith and Freedom Rally will be held at former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft and his wife’s farm just north of Springfield. The event will feature live music and a barbecue dinner.

Last year’s inaugural Faith and Freedom Rally was headlined by Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. Tickets to this year’s event are available now at AshcroftforMissouri.com.
